Why You Need to Have an Abundance Mindset: Living life to the fullest
What does abundance mean? Abundance refers to an overflow, a large quantity of resources, where there is more than needed. But what does that mean for your life, especially if you feel like you are struggling?
Living a life of abundance is available to all, regardless of who or where you are. An abundant life is more about having an abundance mindset vs a scarcity mindset. No matter who you are, your life is and has the potential to be something beyond your wildest dreams.
So if abundance is having an overflow, how do you translate that to your life if you feel like there is so much lack? Lack in your bank account, lack in your love life, and lack in your career will have you side-eyeing anyone screaming about abundance.
Before I lose you, let me explain abundance despite experiencing lack in the different areas of your life. Abundance in your life is believing there is enough success for everyone and not that a certain market is saturated. Having and showing gratitude for what you currently have while working on what you want.
Living in abundance means letting go of negativity, releasing outcomes, and being open to new opportunities. So no matter what your bank account, love life, friendships, or even career looks like now, the abundance mindset allows you to be open to new possibilities and life purpose.
Living in Abundance
Designing a life that you love requires you to be open. More than likely, your dream life is going to require a different version of you. You have to be willing to challenge your scarcity mindset and imposter syndrome to achieve your level of success.
For example, you're someone who wants to open up your own law firm. Your scarcity mindset will have you believe there is no room for you. I mean, have you seen the number of law firm billboards on the side of highways? There’s no way there is any more room for your law firm, right?
That mindset will have you quit before you even try. You stay in your safe career that you aren’t in love with. The job isn’t bad, but this isn’t where you want to stay. You feel it in your gut to open up your own law firm.
Before you talk yourself out of your dream, I want you to remember the number of different breads in the grocery stores, the many different Mexican restaurants within a 50-mile radius of your home, or the number of podcasters, content creators, bloggers, etc. You name it, there is more than one person doing it.
Having an abundant mindset will allow you to accept that there is more than enough room for you. Everyone can have a piece of success as long as they work for it. The universe rewards those who never give up.
Why you should create space for abundance
Creating space for abundance is important to living a life that feels aligned with you. Believing there is space for you allows you to release the outcome while simultaneously having you take intentional action. You will start to morph your daily habits into the future you.
The tiny, stacked daily habits are what will create your dream life before your eyes. Having gratitude will make the journey more enjoyable. The other part of living an abundant life is not to live in desperate energy. That will delay and possibly derail the very dream.
You visit a fancy restaurant, and the waiter greets you. They offer you some water and put in your order to the cook. You grow impatient, pestering the waiter, demanding your food because you are starving. Eventually, you find a small snack and eat that.
Your food comes out rushed, but now you feel sick and cannot possibly stomach your meal. It doesn’t look like what you ordered, but it doesn’t matter due to how you feel. The snack was old and expired, and your food looked unappetizing. You had very desperate energy and ended up with an entirely different experience. We have all been there before.
Once you put in your order, you have to have faith that it’s already being made for you. You’re grateful for the hydrating water as you wait for your food to be prepared with the highest standards. You know there is enough food for you to also enjoy your meal like everyone else.
The food looks and tastes more amazing than you could have imagined. This is what creating space for an abundant mindset looks like. This is how living abundantly changes your very life.
It doesn’t matter how you currently live; you can live an abundant life. You can live a life full of overflow, and it isn’t contingent on how many resources you currently have. Be open to new opportunities, remain grateful for all you have, and release the outcome of what you desire, and you are on your way to living a life of abundance.
