6 Creative Solo Activities You Can Do to Show Yourself Some Self Love
The month of love is here, filled with couples, family, and friends. And as much as we all love love, there seems to be a bit of ick surrounding the idea of self love. Well, not this year, this year we are loving ourselves just as hard (and remind ourselves that it’s not selfish).
Oftentimes, we are so wrapped up in showing up for others that we forget to show up for ourselves. Or sometimes, we are waiting on other people to show their love and appreciation. And if they don’t show up for us, that can lead to disappointment.
When you show up for yourself, you remind yourself that you are important and worthy of feeling love. No one can take that away from you, once you start to show yourself some self-love. Luckily, it is insanely easy to show yourself some appreciation.
This Valentine’s Day is the time to become creative and intune with what makes you feel alive.
This post is all about creative solo activities to show yourself some self love.
Creative Solo Activities
Buy yourself a unique vase & pretty flowers
There is no reason that you have to wait for someone else to buy you flowers. You deserve flowers whenever the mood strikes you. Plus, studies show that it brightens up a room and your mood. Purchase yourself a dedicated vase that makes you feel special.
Visit your local florist for an extra fancy flair, or visit your local grocery store. Take the time to arrange, cut, and prepare water for them. Add a cap full of Clorox to help them live longer. Make this an experience and ground yourself in the present moment.
You are worthy of a beautiful bouquet that makes you smile every time you see it.
Cozy up with a good book & your favorite snacks
I like to participate in “big-back” activities and indulge in snacks. Homemade cookies, cheesecakes, dessert apples, etc., are the way to my heart, and I won’t apologize for it. If you are anything like me, then having your favorite snack and a good book feels like a vacation.
Normally, I’d love a good personal development book, but this is the time to let your mind wander. Romance, fiction, suspense, and even fantasy are nice to curl up with. Pour a glass of wine (or tea), grab a few cookies, light some candles, and let the book world take you through a magical world.
Indulge in a full self care routine
There are very few people (in my opinion) who don’t enjoy a pamper session. However, it can get expensive or uncomfortable for others to do it for you. To cut costs and raise my comfort levels, I have at-home spa days.
You have everything you need at home and more in your bathroom and kitchen. There are a ton of face and hair mask DIY recipes made with common ingredients and things you can buy.
Spa Day at Home Ideas:
Cucumbers over your eyes
Warm Towels to open your pores
Spa Water (water with fresh fruits and veggies)
Bubble bath with Epsom Salt (add fresh rose petals for a romantic feel)
Rose Water Facial Spray (made with fresh rose petals)
Coconut and Shea Butter for deep moisture
There are many ways to customize your self-care day at home. There are no rules, and you can have as much or as little of a day. It’s 100% up to you.
Dress up and take yourself to a nice dinner (or a relaxing picnic)
Don’t wait for someone else to take you on a fancy date. If you wanted to try a brand new sushi place and get dressed, you shouldn’t be embarrassed. There is something magical in putting effort into your appearance and taking yourself on a nice date.
Not only does this help raise your standards (should you want to find a partner), but it reminds you that you are worth the effort. You are worth getting dressed up and taken out on a nice date. Learn to enjoy your company and find the beauty within you.
Show yourself some self love and get an appetizer and dessert.
Start a New Hobby
The present time is always a great time to follow a passion. Feel your spirit come alive when you follow a new idea. Approach it with childlike curiosity and intensity.

You’ll never know where this may lead you. Having hobbies also allows you to be creatively yourself. You can start a garden, write a book, learn how to dance, or crochet. There are so many different avenues and ideas to explore.
Remind yourself that you are worthy
At the end of the day, there is only one you, and that should be celebrated. Show yourself some self love everyday, but especially during a time when you are surrounded by couples. You are worthy of a life filled with love.
There is no reason why you can’t be the reason you feel loved and appreciated. Take some time and thank every part of you for carrying you to the present. Journal about all the good things you are and have done.
Take the time to remind yourself that worthy, loved, and needed on this very planet. You are who you need to be at this moment. You are enough, and you are worth it all.
Not only are you worthy of self-love, but you are also worthy of creating your dream life. Taking your passion projects to the next level is our passion project. Show yourself the ultimate form of self-love by making your dreams come true. Book a consultation and let’s chat over coffee.
